Building Fund
The church in Bonbon is the Kingdom garrison in an environment hostile to the Cross. The present structure is constructed of tarps stretched over poles. The construction of a new, larger, permanent church began in 2017 with the siting, digging and completion of the foundation. The dimensions of the new church match exactly the size of the sanctuary of Solomon's temple in Jerusalem. The foundation having been excavated, and the metal rebar supports having been cemented in place, the concrete walls were completed in 2018. The finished church will provide a school, food center, medical clinic, community space and worship center for hundreds in the community, establishing a beachhead against voodoo worship. The permanent church is rising around the tarp and pole structure under which the congregation still meets. Foundations have been laid and walls are complete thanks to contributions from U.S. churches as well as sacrificial giving by the Ti_Plaine congregation. All of this work has been completed by local laborers, paid a fair wage, which puts food on the community’s tables. The finished church will provide a school, food center, medical clinic, community space and worship center for hundreds in the community. Current construction needs include framing the joists and upper walls with timber ($2,500), pouring a concrete floor ($2,000) and installing a metal roof ($10,000), painting and furnishing the interior with chairs, benches, communion table, etc. ($3,500).

Haitians feel they have been forgotten – that no one is remembering their plight. But God remembers. He offers encouragement and hope that He will see their situation in time. There are various opportunities to respond to the Gospel call to feed the “very least of these” among our brothers and sisters in western Haiti, where the means to live is scarce and the means of hope are even scarcer except for the ministry of faithful servants like Pastor Maginet who are in the very vanguard of the Kingdom.
There is a pressing need for Ministerial Family Support: This fund helps Pastor Maginet and his family, who are essentially unpaid by his parishioners. Their expenses include food ($20/day), utilities ($100/mo.), school for Pastor Maginet’s girls ($500 each/ year). Minister’s Transportation Cost: In addition to his travel, the Pastor’s vehicle provides medical and emergency transport to the village of Ti_Plaine. Gas is $10/ gallon and monthly costs are $310. Mobile Clinics: There is no national health care in Haiti. $700 provides a 1 day mobile health clinic (one doctor, two nurses, medicines) for church members only. $1,000 provides a larger clinic for the community.
Clean water Fund: The Bonbon River runs right through the village of Ti_Plaine, right past the new church. It is used for livestock, bathing, washing and sanitary effluent. As such, it is not suitable for drinking. Family size water purifying filters can be bought that will serve a family for one year. The cost each is $75.
